A lot goes into making an exceptional suitcase. Our luggage, accessories, bags, and apparel are designed at our studio in Vancouver, Canada. We work closely with our factory partners to create high-quality, sustainable products.

We use a virtually unbreakable aerospace-grade polycarbonate hard shell for our suitcases and to ensure they survive the toughest travel conditions, we put them through a battery of 40 tests. In addition, our manufacturing partners are always looking for environmental efficiencies, like collecting parts and plastics that can be reused or recycled for other industries. Components like the gaskets along the suitcase and spine are made from a special material called TPE, which is eco-friendly and compostable. The majority of brands in the market today opt for the cheaper PVC material, which is highly toxic and non-recyclable. Our high-performance wheels are designed and manufactured in-house to meet our exacting standards. For assembly, we only partner with factories that share our standards and values – on quality and materials, as well as clean, safe work environments. We maintain an SA8000 Certification which is based on internationally-recognized standards of decent work, including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, ILO conventions, and national laws. We visit and collaborate with our partners frequently to find ways we can keep making our products better and more sustainable.

All of our products are vegan. Details that look and feel like leather are actually ultra-microfibre vegan leather – the result of a technologically advanced technique that combines ultra-fine microfibre bundles with high-grade polyurethane resin to closely mimic the microscopic structure of leather.

Yes. All Monos products are free from intentionally added PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances). As part of our commitment to sustainability and safer materials, we’re proud to ensure our products meet high standards for health, safety, and environmental responsibility.

Certain components of our products are treated with a silver-ion antimicrobial coating, such as Microban®, which helps inhibit the growth of bacteria on the surface. This invisible layer offers added peace of mind and interiors fresher for longer between cleans.

Yes! Our Carry-On and Carry-On Plus, including the Expandable versions, nest neatly inside both the Check-In Medium and Check-In Large. The Check-In Medium, whether Classic or Expandable, also nests inside the Check-In Large. It’s a simple, space-saving solution for storing your luggage when not in use.

For our Hybrid and Aluminum collections, the Carry-On nests inside the Check-In Medium, while the Carry-On Plus fits inside the Check-In Large.

Yes! The Expandable Carry-On and Expandable Carry-On Pro are designed to meet standard airline cabin size requirements even when expanded. Only the depth increases, so it still fits comfortably in most overhead bins. That extra space comes in handy without compromising on convenience.

The “Plus” refers to an added 1 inch in the suitcase’s length and width, and 0.5 inch in depth, providing you additional packing space.

Capacity measures how much can actually fit inside the luggage, accounting for shape, internal parts and compartments. We measure capacity by filling the luggage with small balls, each equal to one millilitre, and then counting how many balls it holds.

Volume is the total space inside the luggage, found by multiplying length, width, and height.

Our Hybrid luggage collection shares many features with our Classic line, including the ultra-sturdy telescopic handle, a polycarbonate shell, high-performance 360° wheels, and grab handles.

However, the Hybrid Collection is our premium line, offering the look and feel of aluminum without the extra weight. It features a zipperless design reinforced with an aluminum frame at the center seam and anodized aluminum corner guards to enhance durability. Additionally, it is equipped with two aluminum, TSA-Approved latch locks for secure closure.

Luggage with zippers:

To open your Monos suitcase for the first time, ensure the combination dials are set to 0-0-0. Then find the slider with a small arrow on it and slide this towards the pointed direction. The zippers will pop off, allowing you to open the suitcase.

To set your own combination for the first time, follow these steps:

• Turn the dials to the opening combination. Press down the reset button with a pen until you hear a click. The button will stay pressed in.
• Set your own combination by turning the dials.
• Push the slider button in the direction of the arrow until the reset button pops back up. Be sure to memorize your combination.

Hybrid luggage without zippers:

To open your Monos Hybrid suitcase for the first time, ensure the combination dials are set to 0-0-0 on both locks. Then, simply press the release button on the bottom end of each lock. The clasps will pop open, allowing you to open the suitcase.

To set your own combinations for the first time, follow these steps:

• Turn the dials to the opening combination.
• From the back of each lock, you will find a switch marked with A and B. Flip the switch from A to B.
• Set your own combination by turning the dials.
• Flip the switch back from B to A.

If you have locked yourself out of your luggage, we recommend running all possible combinations from 0-0-0 to 9-9-9. This will take about 15 minutes. Please note that once you’ve set your lock combination on your luggage from its original 0-0-0 setting, there is no way for us to know what your personal combination is. To clean the polycarbonate shell and interior lining, use a soft, damp cloth with warm water and mild dish soap.

For stubborn scuff marks on the shell that water and soap can’t easily remove, use the included eco-friendly eraser sponge.

Sunglass lens categories indicate the percentage of Visible Light Transmission (VLT) – how much light passes through the lens.

Our CAT.2 and CAT.3 ZEISS CR39 polymer lenses are not polarized to best support all uses including reading screens and seeing in dim conditions. However, lenses are UV400, offering 100% UV protection.

If you live in the United States or Canada, you will not be charged import duties. You may be charged state or provincial taxes in accordance with local laws. These will be calculated at checkout.

We offer a 100-day trial so you can take your time deciding if it’s the right travel companion for you. We recommend packing it with items similar to what you’d bring on a trip and rolling it around indoors to get a feel for the size, weight, and maneuverability.

To help us process your return smoothly, we do require clear photos of the luggage to confirm it’s in brand new, unused condition with all original packaging intact. The return shipping fee of $25 will be deducted from your total refund.

For unused sunglasses, we offer a free 30-day return policy in brand-new condition with original packaging.

For bags, apparel, and accessories, you may initiate a return within 30 days of delivery. Items must be in brand new, unused condition. The return shipping fee of $25 will be deducted from your total refund.

Luggage Tags, Kiyo UVC Water Bottles, and Alphabet Stickers are final sale.

All Monos luggage purchased directly from us, or through an authorized retailer, is backed by our Lifetime Warranty for the original owner.

The warranty covers:

• Broken or malfunctioning wheels
• Handles or telescopic handles that stop performing as intended
• Locks or zippers that no longer function as designed

Using your original order number, please initiate a warranty claim online through our portal. If a part of your luggage is damaged, we will ship you a replacement part with instructions for installation.
